With less than nine days to go before the New Zealand sevens kicks off, rugby fans are anxiously awaiting the naming of the final 12 member team.

Assistant Digicel Fiji sevens Coach Timoci Wainiqolo said fans should expect a few players to make their debut in the next leg of the world sevens series for Fiji.

As Naval officers Emosi Mulevoro and Mosese Saunivanua will not make the Wellington trip, Fijivillage understands that new players like Benito Eremasi, Manasa Nayagi, Josua Tuisova, Jasa Veremalua, Sakiusa Gavidi and Peni Ravai are some players expected to be named in the final team.

Wainiqolo added the final 12 member team will be named this Friday before the team flies out next Monday.

The New Zealand Sevens kicks off in Wellington next Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match.

Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
