The famous 113 year old Baka tree at Dudley High School is expected to be cut during the August school holidays.
President of the Dudley Parents and Teachers Association Inia Vukialau said the committee will meet tomorrow to decide on the company to carry out the work.
Vukialau said the best time to remove the Baka tree is during the school holiday and it will cost them more than $10,000.
The school's Baka fundraising drive was held at Furnival Park last Saturday where they raised more than $30,000.
