The family members of a 42 year store man who was murdered on Friday in Nadi are doing final preparations for his funeral today.
Deceased Ashwin Roy Lal's father Girdhari Lal told Fijivillage that Ashwin was his second eldest son.
According to Lal, everyday he used to talk to his son before he went to work, however on Friday he could not see him or talk to him.
He added that he was shocked to hear about his son's death when the message was relayed to him by the officials of Water Authority of Fiji.
Lal said he will now have to look after his daughter in-law and two grandchildren.
Ashwin Roy Lal will be cremated today at Votualevu Cemetery.
Meanwhile, investigations into the murder continues as the psychiatric evaluation report of the 27 year old suspect is currently being compiled.
The incident occurred at a shopping complex in Nadi where the suspect who is believed to be of unsound mind stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife.
The victim was conveyed to the Nadi Hospital where he later died.
