A family of three is now homeless after a fire destroyed their two bedroom corrugated iron and timber house at Nabatolu settlement in Ba today.
National Fire Authority said when the fire fighters arrived at the scene the house was well engulfed in flames.
According to NFA initial investigation indicates unattended cooking as the cause of the fire however investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, Police and National Fire Authority are investigating a fire in Siriti Court Nakasi that partly destroyed a bulk store and a vehicle on Monday night.
The estimated cost of damages is about $7000.
