The family of a five year old boy, Shavneet Kumar is today pleading to the senior officials of the Health Ministry to come to his rescue as he remains on a life support machine for the sixth straight day today at the CWM Hospital.

Shavneet was taken into CWM hospital about three weeks ago after fracturing his arm after falling off a table at home.
His father, 33 year old Kinoya resident, Sanju Kumar said his son's arm was then put in a plaster by doctors. The five year old boy was then taken by his mother last Tuesday for the removal of the plaster, when the doctors x-rayed his hand and said that his bone was a bit crooked and they could straighten it the following day.
Kumar said his son went into a coma soon after he was injected with a medicine and taken into the operation theatre on the morning of last Wednesday.
Kumar said he is now going public with the issue because the doctors keep telling them that Shavneet will recover in the next 24 to 48 hours almost on a daily basis since last Wednesday.
Shavneet's aunt, Shobna Sharma said they are now hoping for a miracle and are all praying that Shavneet breathes again without the life support system.
The Kumar family is now hoping that Shavneet recovers from the coma, gets up from his bed and starts playing around like the 5 year old Shavneet they know.
They are calling on the health authorities to find out how Shavneet who was taken in with a fractured arm is now on life support machine.
Village News has contacted Acting Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor Margaret Cornelius about the case. She has confirmed that they are now conducting their checks before issuing a statement.
