Families stranded in Ba
Member of the family Yuvnil Sanjesh Chand told Fijivillage that flood waters entered their house and they had no option but to climb onto the roof top.
Chand said their neighbours house is under flood waters and some rescuers came in boats for rescue and had promised to rescue them but they are still waiting.
Nalele villagers in Nadroga are now worried as their highest possible retreat is close to being flooded.
Filimoni Detani a villager said that the lower 3 villages are surrounded by a river and they are worried as it is high tide at the moment.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Khan of Ali Khan Transport said that Nasolo villagers have been stranded and are not able to move around. As a result their family has opened up Talaiya Muslim Primary School as an evacuation centre.
Residents in Navu are highly disappointed that the Police Force is not responding to their plea for help.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Navu resident Anita Chetty is asking if anyone can come to the help of the four residents who are stuck on the trees.
