Families plan trip to Fiji Street party
It is a time of celebration and New Years Eve going into New Year is also a time when people put their differences aside and focus on love and happiness.
Ruci Wendt of Samabula has been going to the CFL Street Party from 2000 and said the excitement is the same today compared to the last day of 1999 when she danced the night away at the CFL Street Party.
Wendt who is a mother of four said the Fiji Street Party has become a family event and she will be taking all her children and other relatives to Albert Park tonight.
Fiji Street Party is a non-alcohol, fun and family event to celebrate the New Year in a safe environment.
Ferris Wheels, Bouncy castles, hot dogs, ice cream and candy floss will be some of the other attractions at the Fiji Street Party with Digicel Digi Max which will be held tonight from 7pm going into 1am tomorrow morning at Albert Park.
The Fiji Street Party will officially start at 7 tonight, however people will be able to take advantage of other attractions from 3 o'clock this afternoon at Albert Park.
Total Event Manager Loretta Jackson said the stage is set for people to welcome 2010 in Fiji's biggest street party.
