About 85 families of Muanivatu settlement in Vatuwaqa have been given more time to vacate the land following a meeting with the Suva City Council on Tuesday.
Special Administrator for Suva, Vijendra Prakash said they have agreed to have a meeting with the residents soon to discuss the matter.
Council is planning to preserve the Muanivatu land and its natural environment as an attraction.
