More than 100 families from Noadamu, Labasa, are in urgent need of help after floodwaters entered their homes and they had to take shelter at their relative's place or at evacuation centres.
Resident of Noadamu Jamila Ali who is now staying at her relative's place said people of Noadamu have lost nearly everything in the flood and need urgent help.
Ali stressed they won’t be able to start their lives again without the help from the authorities.
Meanwhile, means of transport for more than 1,000 people has come to a hault in Rainibulu, Labasa, after the bridge on the road suffered major damages during flooding.
Resident Uma Prasad said people need to go to town to buy basic food items, however, they cannot because the bridge is unusable.
