Families have been busy this morning preparing for their Christmas lunch, some opting to go for the traditional lovo, a family in Raiwaqa has decided to tap into their Tongan roots and sharing the knowledge with the rest of their neighbours.

Laisiasa Koroinamua originally from Vanuabalavu Lau has spent 16 years in Tonga and is married to a Tongan woman, is this morning busy roasting a pig the traditional Tongan way on a pit, and is sharing the experience with the children in his neighbourhood in Raiwaqa.

Koroinamua said children have been at his house to catch a glimpse of how roasting a pig is done the Tongan way.
