Police are finding difficulties in contacting the next of kin of the ten people who lost their lives in the most horrific accident in Malaqereqere, Sigatoka, on Thursday night.
Director traffic Senior Superintendent of Police Ramend Raj confirmed most of the bodies have been identified, and the process of informing the next of kin is taking long, because most of them live in the outer island of Ovalau, which is the reason for the delay.
Raj said police are still questioning the driver of the Raiwaqa bus and no charges have been laid so far.
The post mortem examination of the ten people, who died in the horrific bus accident in Malaqereqere, Sigatoka, late Thursday night, began in the last hour.
The ten people who died include seven females and three males.
This also includes some children as young as a one-year-old baby.
The ten who have died were trapped inside the bus and were unable to escape because of the glass windows.
