The senior boys shot put event in this year’s Coca Cola games will be an interesting one to watch after current record holder Mustafa Fall of Ratu Kadavulevu School lost to Cory Grenier of Queen Victoria School with a throw of 15.31 metres.
Fall finished at second with a throw of 15.15 metres.
Fall’s shot-put Coca Cola Games record is 15.80 metres which was set last year when he was in Marist Brothers High School.
Meanwhile, looking at the medal tally for the Tailevu Athletics Zone, Queen Victoria School is leading the boy’s division with 3 gold and 1 bronze, Ratu Kadavulevu School is second with 2 silver and 1 bronze while Saint Vincent College is third with 1 silver and 1 bronze.
In the girl’s division, Dawasamu Secondary School is leading with 2 gold and 2 silver, Tailevu North is second with 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze while Saint Vincent College is third with 1 silver and 2 bronze.
The Tailevu Zone continues at the ANZ Stadium.
