Police are investigating the discovery of four fake notes on separate occasions in Suva and Nausori yesterday.
Assistant police spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita confirmed a Westpac bank teller discovered a $20 fake note yesterday while sorting notes.
In a similar situation, another Westpac bank teller in Nausori also discovered a $10 fake note yesterday.
Tevita added two other $50 and $20 fake notes were discovered at two shops in Nakasi yesterday.
Police are warning members of the public to be vigilant while dealing with notes as fake notes are in existence.
Police at this stage are unaware as to who is distributing these fake notes.
