These are the words of incoming UN Council on Climate Change President, Connie Hedegarrd.
While some people have voiced their doubt on success at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Hedegarrd said if the world fails to deliver a political agreement at the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen, it will be the whole global democratic system not being able to deliver the results in one of the defining challenges of our century.
The meeting of more than 100 world leaders is expected to see an agreement signed to reduce carbon emissions to prevent further negative effects of climate change.
The Copenhagen meeting ends on December 18th.
