Suva lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry has called on the President of the Fiji Law Society Isireli Fa to get a mandate from its members before making public statements.
Chaudhry said comments by Isireli Fa that the work on the draft People's Charter is outside the constitution is misleading and he is speaking without talking to his members.
Chaudhry maintained that work on the People’s Charter is not outside the constitution.
Fa stressed this morning that the current electoral system is democratic and the NCBBF and the interim government should stop trying to put through a new system through an unconstitutional process.
