Fiji Women's Crisis Centre is shocked after reports that a 4 year old girl of Lami was allegedly raped by a 34 year villager last week.
FWCC Coordinator Shamima Ali said it shows that our society is not safe and urges parents to supervise their children at all times.
Police confirm that the alleged incident took place a week ago and the matter was reported to police when the victim relayed the incident to her mother.
The suspect has been charged and has been remanded in custody.
