The Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre is now seeking assistance from village chiefs, religious leaders and advisory councilors to reduce the number of rape and sexual assault cases reported.
Centre coordinator Shameema Ali said they have organized a consultation workshop in Savusavu which will concentrate on preventative measures and the support that can be provided to victims of these crimes.
The consultation will be held at Savusavu Hot Springs Hotel tomorrow morning in which chiefs, youth leaders, advisory councilors, police officers and local government officials are expected to attend.
