The Fiji Women's Crisis Centre has expressed great concern at the recent treatment of senior female civil servants.
Centre's Deputy Coordinator Edwina Kotoisuva said the demotion of the Local Government Permanent Secretary Litia Mawi, the side transfer of Kiti Makasiale from Director for Women to Director for Poverty Alleviation and the dismissal of the Agriculture Assistant Permanent Secretary, Bulou Rakuita, is uncalled for.
Kotoisuva said these women have gone above and beyond the call of duty and they are not being accorded the appropriate respect and dignity they deserve because of political agendas.
