The Fiji Visitors Bureau is keeping its fingers crossed that visitor arrival figures for 2008 would not have to be downgraded with global price hikes affecting travelers around the world.
Fiji Visitors Bureau Chairman Patrick Wong confirmed that the World Tourism Organisation has predicted less people will travel for holidays this year.
However Wong said while visitor numbers to Fiji may have to be revised downwards, at this stage things are on track in terms of arrival figures.
