A senior affiliate of the Fiji Trades Union Congress today stressed that the Fiji Trades Union Congress compromised its principles by taking up positions offered by the interim government.

Fiji Teachers Union president Bal Ram said some of the executives of the FTUC continue to cry for democracy to be restored in Fiji and at the same time are taking up positions offered by interim regime.

He said after the 1987 and the 2000 coups, the FTUC strongly criticized the people behind the events and now after the December 5th takeover, many executives are seen sitting on various boards.
