The Fiji Trades Union will be working closely with the Fiji Employers Federation to reduce child labor in the country.
FTU's National Secretary Felix Anthony said following discussions were held with participants at a seminar on world day against child labor with the theme "Advocating to eliminate child labor-steps ahead".
Anthony said there needs to more awareness among all relevant stakeholders and among the public, as the issue is underestimated in the country.
Meanwhile, International Labour Organization estimates that there are more than 200 million children who are victims of child labour around the world.
