The Fiji Taxi Union has raised concern that the taxi operators around the country are not playing their part in assisting the union to get a taxi fare increase.

General Secretary, Rishi Ram said majority of the taxi operators have failed to provide copies of their audited financial accounts for last year to the Land Transport Authority as a requirement to determine how their costs have increased.

Ram said this is causing unnecessary delays as the operators were told at the end of May to provide these documents.
