The Fiji Taxi Union has given an ultimatum to the Interim Government to increase the taxi fares or they will resort to other means to have their grievances heard.
General Secretary, Rishi Ram said if the Government does not increase taxi fare by December 15th, they will seek alternative measures.
Out of the several demands by FTU, one is an increase of flag fall from $1.00 to $1.50.
Interim Minister for Transport, Manu Korovulavula is yet to comment on the matter.
