An internal audit gets underway within the Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau from this morning to investigate certain anomalies within the financial systems being used by the institution.

The Ministry of Trade and Commerce has called for the audit which has led to the Chief executive Officer Annie Rogers and the General Manager Tupou Raturaga being sent on leave for a week to allow for the internal audit.

The Attorney General and Minister for Commerce Aiyaz Sayed said all they can say at this stage is that these anormalies need to be cleared.
