The Fijian Teachers Association has welcomed the move by the Ministry of Education to reassess the curriculum so that it's based on syllabus which is relevant to Fiji children.

FTA President Tevita Koroi said the work of the National Curriculum Framework, which aims at achieving an outcome-based education system, should be commended, for changing the old method where students were fed the information by the teachers, to one with emphasis on providing students with learning skill, which enables them to become fully engaged in the learning process.

Koroi added that the NCF's plans to include Family Life is a welcomed move especially with all the problems faced by students.
