The Students of the Fiji School of Nursing are calling on authorities to defer the school opening as some dormitories are not safe for them.
Students Association President Elaisa Batai said they have been asking the school management to look into the matter as the school dormitories are not OHS compliant.
Batai added that in some cases, the renovation work has been ongoing since 2008 however all this has stopped. He adds that taking in the new intakes would not be a wise decision until all work is completed.
In photos forwarded to Fijivillage, it was revealed that in some rooms, windows are missing wash basins have no taps with the bathing and washing rooms missing tiles and ceiling parts.
The management of the Fiji National University is expected to comment later on the issue.
