The Dean for the Fiji National University College of Medicine and Nursing has today revealed that much of the infrastructure at the Fiji School of Nursing has not been renovated over the past 20 years.

Professor Ian Rouse said that the University has just taken over the management of the Fiji School of Nursing in January and they are now working out what they can do to renovate and improve all facilities accommodation, teaching and recreation.

Professor Rouse said that taking into account the recent handing over of authority and the much needed renovation and maintenance that is needed, this is not a small task but it is one of the highest priorities

This follows revelation by the Student Association President Elaisa Batai last week who said that the building housing new intakes was OHS non-compliant as there were parts of the ceiling and tiles missing.

Professor Rouse added that there has been correspondence between Albert McClaren the Acting Principal and will hold a meeting with the student Association to listen to their grievances.
