A comprehensive report on the operations and performance of the Fiji Sugar Corporation is expected to be taken to cabinet soon for action on a number of recommendations to turn the company around.

Permanent Secretary for Sugar Manasa Vaniqi has confirmed to Fijivillage that the report compiled by Deloitte from Australia is now with the Sugar Taskforce who is looking through the recommendations.

He said the report will then be taken to cabinet which would endorse the necessary recommendations.

Vaniqi confirmed that the report looks at the overall performance of the FSC and while not revealing the recommendations, he said the proposals are designed to ensure the FSC is able to increase production from current levels and improve mill efficiency.
