The Fiji Rugby Union board is still yet to make a decision on when they will announce the new National 7s coach to take the team to the first IRB series to Gold Coast, Australia.

Chairman Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said they are expected to make an announcement soon, but they will first clear out issues and look through the applications before making an announcement.

At the time being, one of the first assignments is to lay out an organizational structure for its office and staff, which will be in place before the new CEO is appointed.

Top coaches who have shown their interest are Redrock’s Lote Rasiga, Waimanu club coach Sailosi Naiteqe, Rewa’s coach Watisoni Ratulevu, Iliesa Tanivula and current coach Josateki Savou.

Successful applicants are expected to be interviewed soon.

The Australia Sevens will be played in Gold Coast on the 25th and 26th of this month.
