The Fiji Rugby Union will severely penalize teams that do not field two front-row specialists in their reserve bench, in the remaining challenges of the BSP Farebrother Sullivan Series.

High Performance Unit Manager, Talemo Waqa said they have seen this as a major weakness in the few challengers of the BSP Farebrother Challenge Series, and they will uphold the rule for the safety of the players.

FRU said that unions had at stages during the course of the 2010 season named their match day teams with only one specialist front row player on the reserve bench.

Waqa added they will closely monitor this in the remaining challengers and stressed that the naming of two specialist front row players on the reserve bench is a standard requirement under the International Rugby Board regulations, with the emphasis being on player safety.

Nadroga successfully defended the BSP Farebrother title yesterday after they beat tailevu 17-7, and will now prepare to meet Lautoka in the 5th challenge next Saturday.
