Fiji Rugby Union chairman Viliame Gavoka said he is unaware whether the incoming national 15s rugby coach Samu Domoni Junior has an IRB coaching certificate.
Gavoka said although the FRU had earlier said that they had set a standard to have a national 7s coach who has an IRB Level 3 coaching certificate, he does not believe a coaching certificate proves that a person would make a good coach.
When questioned by Fijivillage, Gavoka said the FRU welcomes the questions raised by the people.
However, he said the Australian Rugby Union has spoken very highly of Domoni.
When questioned on Samu Domoni Junior's coaching background and the criteria of his selection since he will take the Fiji team to the next World Cup in 2011, Gavoka said he does not really have the details about Domoni but he still believes Domoni is the best person for the job.
