The Fiji Rugby Union is trying to have their best players available for the Flying Fijians match against the Barbarians later this year.

FRU Chief Executive Officer Manasa Baravilala said the test match is a historic one for the Flying Fijians.

Meanwhile, Baravilala added that the Pacific Rugby Cup has been scrapped.

When questioned on why this has happened, Baravilala said the IRB can comment on this because it was their decision.

Baravilala also revealed that FRU physiotherapist William Koong has been appointed as the Acting HPU Manager after Mike Ryan’s departure.
