The Fiji Rugby Union will readvertise the Chief Executive Officer’s position soon.

FRU earlier said that Dr. Berlin Kafoa will be the Acting CEO until this month but board member Baljeet Singh said they can’t confirm when a new CEO will take up the office.

Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca said in an earlier interview that the CEO was confirmed early this year but the applicant wanted more money.

The FRU’s CEO post has been vacant since December last year after Manasa Baravilala was removed by the Board.

Meanwhile, Baljeet Singh also says a New Zealand Auditor will arrive next week before the auditor will send a report to the IRB and based on the report the IRB may release the suspended funds.

Last year the IRB committed FJ$3.3 million in direct funding to the FRU and significant additional financial assistance to participate in international tournaments.
