The Fiji Rugby Union will be naming the technical adviser for the Flying Fijian to the November tour in Europe next Friday, which is understood to be former Wallabies Coach Eddie Jones.

FRU Board Chairman Bill Gavoka has confirmed that while they are looking abroad for someone to fill the position they have not ruled out a local to be also considered.

Gavoka said the selectors will meet with FRU to see who will be the best person to be given the job.

He highlighted that the technical adviser will work closely with his two Assistant Coaches in the forwards and the backline to help in putting together the side for the tour.

Gavoka hinted that former national 15's Captain Ifereimi Tawake, who guided the Fiji Warriors to win their first Pacific Rugby Cup title and also assisted former Coach Ilivasi Tabua in the PNC, is one of the top contenders for the position.

Other coaches who have been involved with the Fiji team are current Naitasiri Coach Joji Rinakama, Etuate Waqa and Inoke Male.
