One of the reasons the Fiji Rugby Union failed to agree to the implementation of key recommendations from the International Rugby Board is because the IRB wanted an observer in the FRU board without consultations.
Acting FRU CEO Dr Berlin Kafoa said they will reengage with IRB after they get their house in order.
Dr Kafoa added this will be a good time for them to work their way up again and be in control.
The FRU is confident it will improve its financial situation and they will bounce back.
Last year the IRB committed FJ$3.3 million in direct funding to the FRU and significant additional financial assistance to participate in international tournaments.
