The Fiji Rugby Union will confirm by the end of this week on whether the Interim government will give them the extra funding of $300,000 to help with preparations for the World Cup.

When contacted by Village sports, FRU CEO Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua confirmed that discussions were held with the Interim sports Minister, Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi last week and they are expecting a positive outcome at the end of the week.

The FRU is yet to confirm the increase in the incentives for the 30-players named in the FMF Flying Fijians squad for the Rugby World Cup.
