FRU terminates Inoke Male’s contract
The FRU board said it has begun the restructure of FRU taking into consideration the financial constraints and the review by the International Rugby Board.
The board has terminated the contracts of five employees effective immediately.
Some positions have been made redundant while the responsibilities of some positions have been absorbed by current staff and some positions will be readvertised.
FRU has implemented the termination clauses in their contracts and will be paying the employees two to three months salary as part of the termination clause specified in their respective contracts.
It has been confirmed that included in these terminations is the position of National 15s Coach which will be advertised locally and internationally.
FRU Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca had earlier told Fijivillage that the board is looking at appointing an overseas coach for the National 15s team.
Meanwhile, Fijivillage has received confirmation that the five contract terminations include Inoke Male, FRU Manager Logistics Semi Rogoyawa, FRU Marketing Officer Priya Cook, a groundsman and an accounts officer.
