The Fiji Rugby Union has sought support and assistance from the business community.

FRU Chairperson and Permanent Secretary for Finance Filimoni Waqabaca had approached business representatives for their support and financial assistance to FRU during the 2013 Fiji Institute of Accountants Congress over the weekend.

Waqabaca had said that the new board of the Fiji Rugby Union is determined that it will do whatever possible to turn the financial situation around and deliver the best results for those involved in rugby and the country as a whole.

Waqabaca also said that they are seriously analysing how the FRU recorded a loss of $600,000 last year and immediate steps that need to be taken.
