The much talked about Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) review which began earlier this year on the operation of the FRU will now be discussed in a special general meeting.
FRU President Ro Filipe Tuisawau said the FRU review and its findings will best be discussed amongst union members in the next meeting, since the Annual General Meeting (AGM) had a lot on the agenda on Saturday.
Tuisawau said most of the issues raised by unions which were discussed at the AGM are in the review, but they will now have to wait for the special meeting, before they can see what should be done.
Acting FRU CEO Keni Dakuidreti said the President who chaired the AGM made the call not to discuss the review report.
The newly appointed FRU board members are Keni Dakuidreti, Kitione Vuetaki, Meli Tora, Waisake Radrodro, Alipate Naiorosui and Bill Gavoka.
The 3 nominees from the Rakavi Trust will now be decided in the special meeting, after the Suva Rugby Union called for the Trust to be abolished.
