The Fiji Rugby Union is on the verge of sealing a substantial sponsorship package for the Primary Schools Kaji Rugby for the next 5 years.

This has been confirmed by Tevita Waqairawai, the Marketing Manager for the Fiji Rugby Union at the AGM last Saturday.

Meanwhile current FRU CEO Keni Dakuidreketi said for the past few years there has been two factions in Primary Schools Rugby, one faction organises their competition at Ratu Cakobau Park while the other has their competition in Nadi, during the last week of school in Term 2.

Dakuidreketi said talks are still underway and the new sponsor that will come in will merge the two factions to have only one competition.

He added this will greatly contribute to the betterment of the sport in the country as a new structure will be adopted.
