The Fiji Rugby Union has made a profit of $911,000 for the year ending 31st December 2009.

This has been a big turnaround after the $770,000 loss incurred in 2008.

The audited financial report was tabled at the FRU Annual General Meeting currently underway at the Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka.

The profit shown on the financial report, most of the income has come from the Northern Hemisphere Tour where the flying Fijians played against Scotland and Ireland.

FRU also received a $1.1 million grant from IRB in 2009 and $3 million came from the sponsorship.

Meanwhile the Media was banned today from sitting in the FRU AGM, and was advised to stay away from the meeting venue.
