The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed that they have made the bonus payment to the Vodafone Fiji 7's players who were part of the winning team at the Dubai 7's last year and Gold Coast 7's this year.
FRU Chief Executive Officer Radrodro Tabualevu said players who have received their bonus are those who are in the country while the managements are trying to contact those who have gone overseas.
This bonus is separate from the $20,000 voluntary payment made by Digicel Fiji last month.
This will be a boost for the national sevens side as they prepare to make a comeback at the South Africa 7's weekend.
The South Africa 7's kicks off this Saturday with Fiji taking on France at 9.30pm.
They will then face Canada at 12.45am Sunday before meeting Scotland at 6.26am.
The cup quarterfinals will start at 12.03am Monday, the semifinals will be held at 3.39am while the cup final will be played at 6.30am Monday.
