The Fiji Rugby Union is leaving no stones unturned in their quest to win the Pacific Nation Cup for the first time since it started in 2006.

FRU created history in the Pacific Rugby Cup this year when the Fiji Warriors become the first team to win the title for the second year in a row and also become the first nation where both of their sides played in the final.

Rugby Union development manager, Sale Sorovaki and High Performance Unit manager, Talemo Waqa are also involved in assisting the coaching staff of Alfred Uluinayau, Inoke Male and head coach Samu Domoni Jnr in looking at ways to keep their unbeaten record intact in the PNC.

Sorovaki said that Waqa returned from Apia on Wednesday after spending time with the coaches viewing the video session of the Samoa and Japan game, and assisting them mapping out a game plan to catch the host by surprise on Sunday.

He added that the opening 30 minutes of the game against Samoa this Sunday is important to the Fiji team where they will need to lay the platform in trying to win the game.

The Fiji and Samoa game kicks-off on Sunday at 3.10pm and you can get a live update results on fijivillage.com.
