The Fiji Rugby Union is in talks with the Tonga Rugby Union for two build-up matches next month.

FRU's media officer Vilikesa Rinavuaka said they have been approached by Tonga, as they need more games for their National side.

Rinavuaka said nothing has been confirmed yet but negotiations
are underway for Tonga A to travel to Fiji to play two games against the Fiji Warriors.

He said the two games will likely be the build-up to the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup competition which starts in May this year.

Fiji/Tonga and Samoa will be part of the Pacific Rugby Cup competition.

Fiji will host rounds two to five as well as the final. The first round of the tournament will see local derbies hosted by Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.

The opening round of the tournament will see 2006 champions Savai'i Samoa taking on 2007 winners Upolu Samoa in Apia, reigning champions Fiji Warriors against Fiji Barbarians in Sigatoka and Tau'uta Reds taking on 2008 winners Tautahi Gold in the Tongan capital Nuku'alofa.
