The Fiji Rugby Union believes the latest developments between FRU and some unions can affect the parent rugby body’s effort in securing a major sponsor.

The Tailevu and Nadi rugby unions have taken FRU to court following the Independent Games Tribunal ruling last week.

FRU Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca said they are hoping that everything will turn out for the best.

Meanwhile, FRU has extended the deadline for the new 7s coach applications by another week due to the high level of interest shown on who will replace Alifereti Dere.

The new National 7s coach is expected to be named next month.
