The Fiji Rugby Union should expect an increased funding from the International Rugby Board after a very successful Pacific Nations Cup tournament.
Speaking to Fijivillage, IRB Council member Graham Mourie said that Fiji has proved from the PNC results that development work has been carried out both for local and overseas based players.
Mourie added that from the Pacific Island Unions, Fiji has proved its development programme and it is now in IRB's court to increase funding for added development.
Mourie added that FRU development is also evident in referees and development officers, as evident in Fiji's stance in the IRB 7s series, the Junior World Cup results and the Pacific Nations Cup tournament that ended last Friday.
The Flying Fijians will now focus on preparing a team for the end of Europe tour in November.
