The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed that IRB funding has started to normalize since its suspension in January this year.
FRU CEO Radrodro Tabualevu said the IRB has already started to fund their sponsored development programs in the country.
Radrodro also confirmed that they have received $1.5 million which is 50 percent of the funding allocated for this year.
He said that once they send their report to the IRB, the next set of funding will come through.
The International Rugby Board suspended funding to the Fiji Rugby Union in January this year after a failure to address concerns over administration and governance.
Last year the IRB committed $3 million in direct funding to Fiji, as well as significant financial assistance to participate in international tournaments in 2013.
In a statement in January, the IRB stated its belief that the FRU’s financial model was “unsustainable” and could impact on “key IRB-funded development and high performance programmes”.
