The Fiji Rugby Union is confident that the players selected in the Digicel Fiji Sevens team to defend the Melrose Cup will stand tall against all other teams when the dust settles in Dubai on Sunday morning.
Acting FRU CEO Keni Dakuidreketi said while New Zealand Coach Gordon Tietjens has questioned whether the experienced players Fiji have brought in will be able to deliver the results, we should not be lured by his comments.
Dakuidreketi has called on the rugby nation to be behind the National Sevens team when they run onto the Sevens ground in Dubai tomorrow morning in their opening pool game.
Fiji will take on Georgia at 4.16am tomorrow.
