The Fiji Rugby Union has commenced the process of selecting our new National Men’s 7s Head Coach and National Women’s 7s Head Coach.
The FRU Board confirms that 13 applications were received for the men’s coach’s position while 17 applications were received for the women’s team’s position.
FRU says applications were received from both local and overseas applicants.
Most of the applicants had requested that their applications be treated with strict confidentiality and the FRU Board says it respects the wishes of the applicants.
The board says in respecting the request of the applicants and not to compromise the selection process, the FRU will proceed with the recruitment process including short listing and conducting the interviews and will make announcements on the appointments after successful negotiations with the successful applicants.
The Dubai 7s will kick off on December 2nd.
The Olympic Gold medal winning Fiji side is the defending champion.
