The Fiji Rugby Union Board has taken a bold initiative and yesterday officially launched its very own lottery in a bid to raise funds to prepare the Flying Fijians for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
Speaking at the launch last night FRU Board Chairman Viliame Gavoka said that the lottery is a step the FRU Board has undertaken to give rugby lovers the opportunity to show their support for the team.
The Flying Fijians team is still without an official sponsor, so the lottery is a way in which the public can contribute to fundraising.
Gavoka also confirmed they are in the finals stages of making a decision to select the final candidate for the coaches position, which became vacant after Ilivasi Tabua's contract was terminated two weeks ago.
